4/13/2010:   Today Jessica and I went to my friend Barb's house to go on our memorial trail ride for my Mom, Marie Elaine Branson King.

Mom and I had talked about going on a trail ride this spring in the Petite Jean Wildlife Management Area behind Barb's house. Well today Jessica, Barb and I went on that ride in memory of Mom.

Mom we wish you were here in person to go on this ride with us, but we know that your spirit was there the whole time. We hope you enjoyed your ride Mom. We love and miss you dearly.

Barb's horse Doc Ready to go on our ride

We no sooner got started on our ride when the first thing we came to was a HUGE mud hole. Jessica was riding Doc at the time and he didn't seem to keen on the idea of having to go through the mud, so we had to make a few minor adjustments with the horse arrangements.

Getting Kodi up to the front with Jessica so she can pony Doc off Kodi through the mud holes

Jessica got through the first mud hole with both horses

Jessica and the horses got through the last of the mud holes and now waiting on me and Barb to catch up

Now we're through all the mud, back on the trail and going again! Jessica and Kodi in the lead, Barb and Doc in the middle and me and Rambo bringing up the rear

We were blessed with beautiful weather today for our ride.

Fixing to take a break and visit

Last, but not least,  I absolutely LOVE this picture of Kodi and Jessica,

2011: We weren't able to do our trailride this year due to some of us having health issues. We are hoping to do the memorial trail ride for Mom again in 2012.
