On Feb. 9th, 2008 I was at the local sale barn with my best friend Barb who was looking to buy some tack. I had no plans on buying a horse! Barb had just left and I was fixing to leave when they run this bag of bones horse through the arena door. A kill buyer had the high bid on him and before the auctioneer could make last call my hand flew up in the air. I won the high bid and I brought Kodi home not knowing anything about the horse I had just bought. God was definately working that night as Kodi has been such a blessing. He is a wonderful horse and a total joy to be around.
This was Kodi's 2nd day with us. He was still a little leary of being to close,

Kodi all shed off and gained up to a good weight. Kodi is such a beautiful horse and so sweet. I am truly blessed to have been choosen to have him as a part of our family.
April, 2009. Some of our neighbors calves got into our pasture, so my youngest daughter Jessica saddled Kodi up and they, along with our dog Caleb, herded the calves back to their pasture with their anxious moms.
A Job well done...
June 5th, 2009. It was such a beautiful day so Jessica along with her friends Maygin and Tracy saddled Kodi up and took turns riding him.
Gabby didn't wan't to be left out so she tagged along with Kodi and the girls.
6/15/2009 After the storm on 6/12/2009 that we all got caught in when out trail riding, Barb let me leave Kodi at her house for a couple days. Thanks sis!

7/21/2009. Jessica got Kodi out and was letting the boys ride Kodi around.
I am so proud of Justin, Kodi was being a typical horse and tried to see what he could get away with, but Justin made him mind and after that Kodi rode out real good for him.

Jessica has been giving riding lessons to Cade on Kodi and they both have been doing a great job. I'm proud of them both.

8/12/2009 Today was nice so Jessica got Kodi out and led my grandson Sagan around. I say he looks like a cowboy in the making :-)...The video was taken from my son's phone, so it's a little blurry. Sagan is the son of our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Sabrina.
9/23/2009: Jessica got Kodi out today, after she got home from school, and decided to gear Kodi all up...lol...He is such a good boy...Kodi has been a true blessing and such a joy. Jessica loves riding Kodi and they are a great match. The Lord above has truly blessed us with such a wonderful horse.

12/3/2009 Kodi is such a good boy, it still saddens and shocks me sometimes when I think what he must have gone through and how he came to be in our lives. We are so glad that he is a part of our family, Kodi has been a true blessing to us and he has brought us many happy memories. I pray that we have blessed him with happy memories as well.
12/3/2009 Well Kodi gave me a big scare this evening.. I had forgotten my camera in the barn and went back to get it and thank the Lord above I did. Kodi was having a major choking episode.. I called the vet and told him what was going on, after explaining to him about the fluids pouring out of Kodi's nose and mouth we both agreed it would be best to bring him in, so I loaded Kodi up and hauled him to the vets office... It was a good thing I got him in, he had food blockage from mid way of his throat to about the base. It took the vet 7 or 8 times tubing him to finally get it all unblocked. I thank the Lord above for having such a wonderful vet.. Kodi and I were definately blessed that he was in and that he could take Kodi in so quickly... Kodi is now home and doing fine. He is sleeping off the medication, I figure he will be sore tomorrow but I thank the good Lord above and my wonderful vet that Kodi is still here with us.
12/14/2009 Well thankfully Kodi has been doing great and no more choking episodes since I have started soaking his feed. Kodi is such a sweet boy.
3/1/2010: Kodi is doing great and nothing really new to post on him. Jess has been riding him some around the house and he has seemed to be enjoying the break. Jess and I are looking forward to warmer weather so we can start hitting the trails. I will post pictures once we start getting out on the trails.
10/11/2010: Wow it has been awhile since I have updated.
Kodi has been a busy boy this summer, my two Jessica's have been taking Kodi and Rambo on lots of rides this summer and now that the weather is getting cooler they are planning on getting in more ride time.

4-13-2011: Jessica got out and was playing around roping things and our grandson Sagan had to get in on it. :-).. Kodi is such a good boy and he was very patient with our grandson playing around with the rope..
