On June 26th,2008 God blessed me with a precious gift.
The gift was an orphaned foal that we named Gabby.
Gabby's mom suffered a leg injury and had to be put to sleep when Gabby was only 2 month old. Gabby came to us just shy of being 3 months old.
This was Gabby's first day with us.

Gabby's bloodline. Quincys Nativ SunCat is the name I hope to register her under

We had a miniature mare named Lydia who took Gabby under her wing so to speak and helped to teach Gabby how to be a good girl and how to mind. In his picture she is by the Miniature gelding Lakota, they were good buddies and loved to play together.

Gabby with Lydia, in the background, and Caleb the dog. Gabby was starting to shed her baby coat and as you can see she was starting to sprout up. This picture was taken 10 days after her hernia surgery. She was such a good patient. She took everything in stride and never gave me any problems when I washed and cleaned the area twice a day.
10/1/2008: My grandson Sagan LOVES Gabby and she loves him.
Gabby will let Sagan sit on his back while she is waiting in the stall to be fed, She is such a joy to work with and she wants to please. It amazes me everyday that I have been blessed with such a wonderful gift.
Feb. 2009: Sagan got tired of watching daddy ride and he wanted to ride his Gabby..Now Gabby had not had any saddle training other than me getting her use to having something around her girth area...We knew that she was so good about letting Sagan sit on her bareback and walk around with him and she took to having something around her girth area so we decided to try the miniature pony saddle on her. As you can see from the picture she took it all in very well. Sagan was so happy to be on his Gabby and Gabby is such a joy to work with, it was just a very blessed day for us all...
April,2009: I am sooo proud of both my girls... Jessica was working with Gabby on bowing, well Gabby got that pretty quickly so Jess just took it a little farther and taught Gabby to lay down...
I see God's beauty and work every day but I am still amazed that he loves me so much and that he blessed me with such a joyous and wonderful gift, despite all my faults and flaws,

6/5/2009: Jessica and her friends Tracy and Maygin got out to enjoy the beautiful day that God blessed us with. The girls saddled Kodi up and Gabby was afraid she was going to miss out on something..lol
Gabby followed the girls all around like she was being ponied, but she wasn't...she is such a joy...
In this picture it looks like Gabby is listening closely to what Jess is telling Tracy...lol
7/24/2009 update on Gabby. It's been so hot here lately that we haven't been working Gabby to much. I've been taking her on walks and getting her use to wearing a saddle and being out in different surroundings and Jess has been getting her out of an evening, if it's not to hot, and work lunging her a little bit. She is such a joy to work with and she takes everything in stride. She is getting so big, she is just a hair shorter than Kodi now. It's hard to believe that she is fixing to be 16 months old on the 1st of August. She is starting to lose that baby look and starting to look more like a horse instead of a baby.. I will try to get and post updated pictures of her soon.
July 29th, 2009. Gabby in the pasture beside the house. She is looking more and more like a horse instead of a baby...
8/30/2009 Jessica was out riding Kodi in the pasture and Gabby was feeling frisky. I think we are all enjoying the cooler temps...
It's so hard to believe she's going to be 17 months old on the 1st of Sept. She is getting so big, she hardly looks like a baby anymore...
10/7/2009: Gabby is coming along so well in her training. I am so proud of her! Today we worked with lunging with the saddle on and she did great! She is such a joy to work with and she tries so hard to please. I am just so proud of her. She is a true blessing and I thank the Lord above everyday for blessing me with such a wonderful gift...
10/25/2009 This isn't the best picture of Gabby as she had been rolling and she is in her fuzzy coat, but I still like this picture of Gabby and Sagan. They are both getting so big...If it will ever stop raining long enough for things to dry up we will continue with Gabby's training. She is so smart and so much fun to work with. I am really proud of her.

11/4/2009 Emma,Gabby,Skye and Kodi. Gabby is so protective of Emma, here Gabby has stepped between Emma and Skye so Skye wouldn't nip at Emma. Gabby is such a sweetheart. She tries to play peacemaker...love my little girl!
12/3/2009 Gabby is growing so much, it seems like she is hitting growth spurts everytime I turn around. She is so loving it amazes me sometimes. I get so tickled at her sometimes, she gets so excited when she sees us it just warms the heart. I am truly a blessed woman to have such a wonderful loving family and to have all these wonderful animals in my life... God has definately been good to me despite all my faults and flaws...
12/14/2009 Gabby is getting so big. It has been a true pleasure watching her grow. Gabby is such a loving girl, sometimes it amazes me at how fast the time with her has gone. She is turning into a beautiful horse but she is still and will always be my little girl, even when she leaves to go to her forever home, she will always be in my heart.
1/27/2010: A new chapter in Gabby's life has begun today. Gabby left today with Christy, it was hard as heck watching my baby girl leave, but I know she has a great future ahead of her.
2/28/2010: Updated pictures of Gabby at Christy's house. Christy woke Gabby up from her nap and she was still sleepy :-)...

10/12/2010: I just got a wonderful update on Gabby!
Gabby is doing great! She is turning into such a beautiful horse.
I can never say thank you enough to Lisa and Kacy for giving our wonderful girl a great new home and for giving Gabby their love!
